Add to email

Choose your email app, install your signature, then confirm it works in a real new email. A successful preview is only the start.

Which email app do you use?

Set up and verify each client separately. A web test does not verify desktop or mobile.

These are local records for this browser and method, not mailbox telemetry. Save records again after changing mailbox or settings. Clearing browser data removes them.

1. Prepare your signature

Save this installation choice, then prepare content in the editor. This button does not enable a mailbox connection.

2. Install in your email app

  1. In Edit signature, select public content. Open Automatic text · Gmail & Outlook, publish live content and copy the connection code.
  2. Download and extract the Gmail test extension. Open chrome://extensions in Chrome, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked and select the gmail folder. Reload Gmail once after installation or an extension update.
  3. Back up your existing signature. In Gmail → Settings → See all settings → General → Signature, set defaults for new emails and replies/forwards to No signature, then save. Keep the old templates for rollback.
  4. Open the extension from your Gmail tab, verify the Gmail address, paste the code, enter name/title locally, consent and click Preview & enable. Your full website brand template is not automatically transferred to the extension.
  5. Open a blank new email. Click Next on the website, keep Gmail signed in without refreshing, and open another email. Check for the new content; the earlier draft should stay unchanged.

3. Verify a real new email

Enabling an extension or completing a preview does not complete this test.

Status & troubleshooting

Last successful client update: not reported to this page. No automatic success timestamp is available here.

In Gmail, open the extension and use Check Gmail connection for its version, account and last insertion attempt. “Enabled” records consent; it does not prove a signature was inserted.

Pause, resume & change content

Pause: click Pause in the Gmail extension. Resume: preview, consent and Preview & enable again. Disconnect clears the local configuration. To restore your previous signature, pause/uninstall the extension and restore Gmail signature defaults.

Change content in Edit signature, then Publish live content; Next publishes immediately. Keep the same live connection code. Revoke connection stops future fetches using that code across connected clients; it does not remove existing signatures.
